The University of Toledo men’s basketball team got a bit more than it bargained for in a charity exhibition game against Findlay at Croy Gymnasium on Tuesday night. The Rockets lost the game 89-86.
Pat Nagle recorded a shutout in goal and the Toledo Walleye won their home opener Saturday at the Huntington Center.
Toledo scored the first 21 points of the game en route to improving to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-American Conference. Logan Woodside threw 5 touchdown passes for the Rockets.
Eastwood sealed its third Northern Buckeye Conference title in four seasons and improved to 9-0 with a win over the Comets.
Central Catholic recorded its first shutout of the season to improve to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.
