OAK HARBOR, Ohio -- Officials in Ottawa County's Carroll Township warned residents late today not to drink the water -- or ingest the water in any other way -- and not to give it to their animals.

A toxin from algae has made the water potentially unsafe, officials said. Boiling the water could concentrate the toxin.

The township will provide bottled water starting at 7 a.m. Friday at its complex, 11080 W. Toussaint East Rd.
