Humane Society to hold Mutt Strut fund-raiser
9/16/2013The Wood County Humane Society will hold its annual Mutt Strut fund-raiser Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the W.W. Knight Preserve, 29530 White Rd., Perrysburg.
Families are invited to bring their dogs to the walk-a-thon, the day’s main event. Walkers are encouraged to collect donations from sponsors. Activities also include the PAWgent at 11 a.m., during which a Mutt Strut king and queen will be crowned.
There will be a photo booth, free dog training, pet sketches, and refreshments. Also scheduled is the Wiener Dog Nationals, which will include Dachsunds from three states.
The $15 registration fee for the walk will be waived for walkers who turn in that amount or more in donations. For information, contact the humane society at woodcountyhumane@gmail.com or call 419-378-1178.
