A Toledo man will appear in court today, accused of shooting at another man, and having a “duffel bag full of marijuana.”

Tyrone Armstrong, 41, 2729 116th St., is charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest, and obstructing official business.

Early Thursday morning, the suspect and Otha Jones, 44, pulled up next to one another at a red light at Central Avenue and Monroe Street and got into an argument, police said.

The suspect, who is reportedly dating Jones’ ex-wife, allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several times at Jones as the two vehicles were driving westbound on Monroe, police said.

One of the rounds went through the driver’s side headrest and hit the windshield, police said.

The police report says the victim was not struck; the felonious assault complaint states the victim was hit in his back, right shoulder.

The suspect was found to have a gun and the marijuana, which weighed 31 pounds and has an estimated street value of $49,600, police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said.
