Wood Co. man guilty
 in fatal 2012 wreck

BOWLING GREEN — A rural Perrysburg man pleaded guilty Monday in Wood County Common Pleas Court to his role in a fatal car crash last year.

Justin David Shane, 24, of 10285 Dowling Rd., pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony, and operating a vehicle while under the influence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

He is to be sentenced Jan. 31 by Judge Alan Mayberry.

Shane was westbound on Dowling Road near Carter Road in Middleton Township on Aug. 29, 2012, when his car went off the road and struck a tree. His passenger, Crystal McLaughlin, 31, of Wayne, Ohio, was killed.
