Six Toledo city parks will have drop-off locations for Christmas trees between Dec. 26 and Jan. 17.

Trees can be dropped off for recycling at Jermain Park, Schneider Park, Ravine II, Detwiler Park, Bowman Park (Laskey Road entrance) and Greenwood Park (Darrel Road entrance). Signs will direct drivers to drop-off points, the city said.

Trees should be cleared of all decorations, bags, or other materials. They will be ground into mulch by city forestry crews at no charge.

In Wood County, trees will be accepted Dec. 26 through Jan. 10 for recycling at the following locations: William Henry Harrison Park, 644 Bierley Ave., Pemberville; Otsego Park, 20000 West River Rd., Bowling Green; W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, 29530 White Rd., Perrysburg; Wood County Park District Headquarters, 18729 Mercer Rd., Bowling Green, and Slippery Elm Trail (parking lot on East Broadway), North Baltimore.
