Man, 30, fatally shot on central Toledo street

A 30-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon on a central Toledo street, authorities said.

Anthony L. Sisson, whose address was not listed, was pronounced dead at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was taken after police and medical personnel responded to a 911 call of shots fired and a man in the street in front of 811 Ross St., near Belmont Avenue.

Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner, said the man had multiple gunshot wounds and an autopsy has been scheduled for today.

Mr. Sisson would be the 33rd homicide victim in Toledo this year, if the coroner so rules. Two more have occurred in the metro area.
