A Toledo man who was killed on Christmas Day was shot three times, an autopsy showed.

Each shot struck Anthony Sisson, 30, in his chest, Lucas County Deputy Coroner Dr. Cynthia Beisser said Thursday. The death is being ruled a homicide and toxicology results are pending, she said.

Sisson was shot in the 800 block of Ross Street at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday. Police found him in the middle of the street, near a boarded-up house in Toledo’s central city. He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

No charges had been filed as of Thursday, said police Sgt. Kevin Braun, who had no information about a possible motive.

Sisson is the 33rd homicide victim in Toledo this year. Toledo police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
