A 14-year-old girl was able to fight off a man who tried to snatch her from a downtown bus stop on Thursday, police said.
The girl was waiting for a bus at 14th and Washington streets at 11:55 a.m. when a man tried to grab her, said Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.
The girl fought off the attacker, although she did suffer a minor head injury, police said. Sergeant Heffernan said the man ran off; police on Friday were trying to identify and locate the man.
The only available suspect description is that the man is white and about 6 feet tall, and weighs between 170 and 180 pounds.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated.
Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
