A Toledo man who stabbed his friend in the neck during a fight was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison.

Antonio Roundtree, 35, of 333 Sheldon St. was found guilty of felonious assault Feb. 4 following a two-day jury trial in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Linda Jennings imposed the sentence on Roundtree, who stabbed Ruben Rodriguez, 27, in a confrontation outside a bar Dec. 15, 2012. During his trial, Roundtree claimed he pulled his knife in self-defense after Mr. Rodriguez followed him outside the bar and brandished a knife.
