BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green resident Trudy Price‘‍s wish for her 100th birthday was to mow the lawn.

That wish was granted today, on the morning of her 100th birthday, when she helped beautify Bowling Green State University by planting flowers and helping to cut the grass before a crowd of about 20 people outside University Hall. The day was made possible through a partnership between Brookdale Senior Living and Wish of a Lifetime, an group that enables senior citizens to fulfill long-term goals and dreams.

Ms. Price, who was born June 9, 1914, in Youngstown, described herself as an “outdoor person” and said she wanted to give back to the community.

“I have been given so much in my life,” she said of her motivation.
