New Miss Michigan crowned

  • MUSKEGON, Mich. — Miss Washtenaw County KT Maviglia is the new Miss Michigan.

    Thirty-four women took part in the 2014 Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant, which culminated with Saturday’s event at the Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts, MLive.com reported (http://bit.ly/1lmu6EW).

    The 21-year-old Maviglia of Dundee wins $10,000 in scholarship money and the chance to participate in the Miss America pageant this September in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

    Nicole Miller was named first runner-up and Kelly Gooch was second runner-up.
