Wood Co. offers special for June cat adoptions

Through June, the Wood County Humane Society is offering special cat adoption rates to alleviate crowding in the shelter.

Adopters can take home a cat for $50 and adopt a second cat at no charge if the adoptions are the same day. The event corresponds with the national “Adopt a Shelter Cat” month.

Adoption hours at the shelter at 801 Van Camp Road in Bowling Green are Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m., and Fridays through Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

All adoptions include spay/​neuter surgery, distemper and rabies vaccines, feline immunodeficiency virus and feline leukemia tests, a microchip, and free physical examination at local participating veterinarians.
