Child falls from stands at All-Star game

A young child fell from the stands of Steinecker Stadium at Perrysburg Junior High School, where an all-star football game was played Friday evening, authorities said

The child, whose name and condition were not released, was taken by ambulance to Toledo Children‘‍s Hospital. 

Spectators were in the stands for the annual Northwest Ohio Regional All-Star Football game, featuring top high school football players.

“Certainly we want all of our facilities to be places where people can come and enjoy themselves,” Perrysburg Superintendent Tom Hosler said. “It’‍s an unfortunate situation any time there’s an accident.’’

School officials expect to learn details of the incident from authorities.
