Charges were dismissed Monday against a Toledo man charged with shooting into an occupied home.

Jordan Strong, 23, of 4019 Sampson St. was scheduled for a bench trial before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Stacy Cook on a charge of improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation for an Oct. 23 incident on Brigham Street. He and Dimitrias Graves, 27, were indicted on the charge for a shooting that occurred the same day as Graves fired shots outside his mother’s home on Spring Street, inadvertently shooting and killing his girlfriend, Mariah Wells, 22. Graves is serving a life sentence for murder in that case.

Jeff Lingo, chief of the criminal division for the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office, said the charge against Mr. Strong was dropped after a witness who previously identified him in a photo array arrived for the trial and said he was not the shooter.
