2 accused of meth lab are arraigned
7/23/2014PAULDING, Ohio — Two men accused of running a meth lab in a mobile home were arraigned in Paulding Municipal Court.
Bond for Jeffery Holt, 45, of 759 E. Perry St. and John Mobley, 43, of 17572 Road 156 was set Monday at $500,000 with an option to post 10 percent.
The men are charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs. Authorities also charged Mr. Holt with possession of meth.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and a probation officer went to the Perry Street address, which is less than a half mile from the sheriff’s office, to check on a probationer and found “an active meth lab.”
Both men are due back in court July 28 for a preliminary hearing.
In 2009, Mobley was found guilty in Henry County Common Pleas Court of felony theft for stealing anhydrous ammonia from the Stanley Elevator near Florida, Ohio.
The fertilizer used for corn fields can be used, illegally, to make methamphetamine.
