Robert Strauss, a Toledoan accused of murdering a man whose body has not been found, was booked into the Lucas County jail this afternoon after being moved from an Indiana jail.

Mr. Strauss, 36, is to appear in Toledo Municipal Court on Friday morning.

Police allege that he and his wife, Desirae Strauss, 36, bludgeoned Brian Martin, 52, inside the couple's home at 2140 Consaul St. on June 22. Before being moved to the Lucas County jail, Mr. Strauss had been held in the Madison County jail, near Anderson, Ind., in lieu of $80,000 bond for false informing.

Mr. Martin's family reported him missing in late June. Originally, officials said the body was probably somewhere between Toledo and Anderson, Ind., where the Strauss' were arrested on July 8, but later police said they had eliminated Indiana as a possibility.

Mrs. Strauss remains in Lucas County jail as well.
