Boy, 17, from Erie dies after single-car crash
7/25/2014TEMPERANCE — A 17-year-old boy was killed late Wednesday night after his vehicle crashed on Benore Road in Erie Township, according to Monroe County sheriff’s deputies.
Travis Dean Taylor of Erie was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said the victim was driving a teal Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on Benore, east of South Dixie Highway, just after 11 p.m. when the vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch, where it hit a cement culvert. The car landed on its roof and caught fire.
