A 19-year-old boater whose body was recovered from a private lake in Springfield Township drowned, according to results of an autopsy Wednesday by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

An investigation into the death of Mustafa Nasirdeen of Maumee is ongoing by the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

County Deputy Dr. Diane Scala-Barnet said the autopsy showed no sign of skeletal trauma or injuries and no evidence of foul play. She said alcohol was a factor in his death, but results of a blood-alcohol content test were not available.

Mr. Naserdeen was reported to be in the water and missing at a private lake at the Hidden Harbor subdivision near King and Angola roads just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Severe weather curtailed the search for him Monday; his body was found about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
