Mich. man in hospital after van-deer crash

A Michigan man is in intensive care after a deer on I-75 in Rossford went through the windshield of the minivan in which he was a front-seat passenger, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Ibrahim Hussein, 42, was listed in critical condition Friday in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, the hospital said. Mr. Hussein was traveling in a van north on I-75 about 8:15 p.m. Thursday when a deer jumped into its path, troopers said.

None of the other five occupants was injured. The driver was Jana Hussein, 38, according to the patrol. Other passengers were Paul Kanouno, 39, Nada Ozier, 28, Melinda Karkaba, 35, and Loretta Sobh, 38. All are from Michigan, troopers said.
