Andrew Schuman, 45, of Bowling Green is accused of trying to cover up his involvement in an automobile accident in July, said Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson.

Mr. Schuman, who worked as an assistant county prosecutor from 2001 to 2005, allegedly struck a fire hydrant in Bowling Green, then left the scene without reporting the incident. Mr. Donson said he then had work done on his vehicle to repair the damage.

The indictment includes a specification seeking forfeiture of Mr. Schuman's 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was allegedly involved.
