Lourdes University’s Mission and Ministry Office is holding a “Fill the Freezer” 24-hour marathon Jan. 12 to benefit the Toledo Labre Project.

The weekly Toledo Labre Project brings food and fellowship to those in need in two Toledo neighborhoods. On Wednesdays at 4 p.m., Lourdes students gather at the university’s San Damiano Campus Ministry House to prepare casseroles, sandwiches, snacks, hot chocolate, and lemonade.

On Jan. 12 Lourdes students, faculty, and staff will work shifts making casseroles over a 24-hour period to restock supplies.

Donations of casseroles and casserole ingredients will be accepted through Jan. 19. To arrange a donation or for more information, contact Sister Barbara Vano at bvano@lourdes.edu or 419-824-3861.
