Drowning death ruled an accident
7/9/2018The drowning death of a man found at the bottom of a West Toledo pool has been ruled an accident, Dr. James Patrick, the Lucas County coroner, said Monday.
The man was rushed to ProMedica Toledo Hospital on Wednesday after being pulled from a pool at Abbey Run Apartments.
He was pronounced dead Saturday, and an autopsy was performed Monday, Dr. Patrick said.
Authorities had identified him as Orlando C. Alarcon, 35, but they now believe that may not be his real name.
The coroner’s office is working with police and the FBI “to determine precisely who he is,” Dr. Patrick said.
