Dogs killed Aug. 13 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, licensed; aggressive (charged gate, unable to handle); surrendered Aug. 11 by Crystal Nowak, Rambo Lane, Toledo.

Parson Russell terrier, black and white male, unlicensed; bite attempt (tried biting multiple staff); stray picked up by a control officer Aug. 8 from 1611 Idaho St., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed; aggressive; stray picked up Aug. 9 by a control officer from 533 W. Central Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brindle and white, unlicensed; bite attempt (tried to bite vet staff); stray picked up by a control officer Aug. 9 from 3242 N. Detroit Ave., Toledo.

Pomeranian, tan male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (old age, seizures); surrendered Aug. 13 by Margaret Held, Idaho Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” chocolate and white male; stray picked up by a Toledo police officer July 22 from 1328 Walbridge Ave., Toledo.

Chihuahua, tan and white female; surrendered July 27 by Misty Boyer, Cherry Street, Toledo.

Beagle and pug mix, cream and white male; stray taken to shelter July 31 by Matthew Heer, Meadowood Drive, Toledo, from Central Avenue and Centennial Road, Sylvania Township.
