A Toledo man who set fire to his girlfriend's home was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison.

Jeronica Phillips, 49, of the 1800 block of Fernwood Avenue pleaded guilty April 2 to aggravated arson for setting the Nov. 19 fire at Tonya Cason's home in the 200 block of Kevin Place. He poured gasoline on the front porch and ignited it, causing some $17,000 in damage to the property.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Dean Mandros cited Phillips’ lengthy criminal record in imposing a prison term. He also told Phillips he must register as an arson offender for the state arson offender registry for the rest of his life.
