Coroner’s rulings

The Lucas County Coroner has ruled in the following deaths:

Lyla Aver, 95, of Clyde, Ohio, April 30, at University of Toledo Medical Center. Accidental, arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease complicated by right femur fracture; deceased fell at home.

Ronald Dindal, 75, of Findlay, Ohio, Dec. 26, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Accidental, blunt force trauma to the neck; deceased fell while shoveling snow.

Paul Katz, 88, of Toledo, Feb. 3, at University of Toledo Medical Center. Accidental, complications of hypothermia.

Julie Laws, 37, of Delta, Ohio, Feb. 20, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Accidental, fentanyl toxicity.

Shane Marsh, 44, of Toledo, Sept. 4, at home. Homicide, exsanguination due to gunshot wound of left thigh.

Austin Metz, 23, of Hicksville, Ohio, March 13, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Accidental, anoxic encephalopathy due to probable drug intoxication.

Randall Warren, 44, of Toledo, Feb. 27, at home. Accidental, post traumatic seizure disorder; deceased riding on hood of car, fell off.

Kenneth Bryant-Bey, 62, of Toledo, March 23, on North Fearing Blvd. Accidental, carbon monoxide poisoning; deceased was in a structure fire.

Naomi Conger, 86, of Toledo, May 10, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Accidental, complications of a hip fracture; deceased fell at assisted living facility.

Richard Cook, 46, of Toledo, March 28, in 1500 block of South Holland Sylvania, Maumee. Suicide, helium inhalation.

Malik Edwards, 18, of Fremont, Ohio, Feb. 10, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Suicide, self inflicted gunshot wound of head.

Russell Gilbert, 52, of Toledo, Sept. 22, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Accidental, acute pneumonia due to complications of multiple blunt force trauma; deceased was in vehicle accident.

Thomas Jaworski, 37, of Toledo, Jan. 21, at home. Accidental, combined drug toxicity.

Thomas Keefe, 76, of Tiffin, Ohio, Feb. 12, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Accidental, complication of blunt force trauma to head; deceased fell at home.

Theresa Leonard, 86, of Defiance, Ohio, Jan. 23, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Accidental, complications of blunt force trauma to head and neck; deceased fell at from wheelchair.

Alfred Michalak, 89, of Toledo, April 5, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Accidental, multiple blunt trauma sustained from vehicle accident.

Sherlene O’Neil, 64, of Toledo, Jan. 27, at home. Undetermined, drowning; deceased was found submerged in water filled bathtub.

Marii Syras, 52, of Toledo, April 5, at home. Suicide, sharp force trauma to neck; deceased cut her neck.
