Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (lethargic, pale, decreased appetite, possible babesia or immune-medicated hemolytic anemia, no transfer partner able to take); stray picked up Aug. 20 by a control officer at 507 Sumner St., Toledo.

German shepherd mix, brown male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Sept. 26 by Idalia Tagle, Gordon Street, Toledo, from the 100 block of Western Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/resource guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on Oct. 15); stray picked up Oct. 8 by a control officer at 855 Vance St., Toledo.

Boxer mix, brown and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/resource guarder (scored 4/5 on Oct. 15); stray taken to shelter Oct. 8 by Ellen Barnak, Jervis Street, Toledo, from the 200 block of Jervis Street, Toledo.

Boxer, brown and white female, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Oct. 9 by Karen Reno, Willard Street, Toledo, from Lisa Lane, Toledo.

Australian shepherd mix, tan and white male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (underweight, chronic flea dermatitis and generalized hair loss, extreme pain when moves head or neck suddenly, will not consistently take medication); surrendered Oct. 9 by Chad Haupricht, Silverdale Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on Oct. 15); stray taken to shelter Oct. 10 by Carrie Grindle, Maginnis Road, Oregon, from North Michigan Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brindle and white female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (very large, hard, and irregular mammary tumor, severely emaciated); stray taken to shelter Oct. 11 by Isiah Jones, Junction Avenue, Toledo, from Nebraska Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (very fearful and fractious, old scars and numerous new wounds suggestive of dog bites, severely swollen leg, unable to stand long, very painful, not allowing any handling for examination or treatment); stray picked up Oct. 12 by a control officer at 1017 N. Summit St., Toledo.
