For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

Labrador retriever mix, black and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (14 years old, cancer); surrendered Oct. 19 by Debra Nottingham, Warrington Road, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brindle and white male, unlicensed; tried to bite shelter staff; stray picked up Oct. 9 by a control officer at 3023 Chestnut St., Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, gray and white male, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray picked up Oct. 16 by a control officer at 958 Dix Lane, Toledo.

Chinese shar-pei, brown and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (13 years old, deaf, losing bowels); surrendered Oct. 20 by Robert Barron, Church Street, Toledo.

Labrador retriever, black male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Oct. 13 by Kaylin Hite, Nevada Street, Toledo, from Nevada Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, tan and white female, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray picked up Oct. 15 by a control officer at 3601 Hill Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray picked up Oct. 17 by a control officer on Collingwood Boulevard, Toledo.
