For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered Oct. 22 by Ronald Pioterek, Bronson Avenue, Toledo.

Chihuahua, black and white male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (laterally recumbent, vomiting, whining, rapid breathing, digested blood in stool, pain, worsening condition); surrendered Oct. 21 by John Baer, Leybourn Avenue, Toledo.

American bulldog mix, white and black male; stray picked up Sept. 19 by a control officer at 2038 Rhode Island Rd., Springfield Township.

Shih Tzu, black and gray female; stray taken to shelter Sept. 23 by Kaleigh Murphy, Benore Road, Erie, from Secor Road, Toledo.

Saluki/German shepherd mix, black and tan male; stray picked up Sept. 21 by a control officer at 1123 Woodville Rd., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” gray and white male; surrendered Sept. 26 by Tyrone Brandon, North Huron Street, Toledo.

Miniature poodle mix, white and black male; stray taken to shelter Oct. 9 by Phillip Klocinski, Calla Lane, Toledo, from Nebraska Avenue, Toledo.
