School board in Addison hires superintendent

ADDISON, Mich. - After only one round of interviews, members of the Addison school board have agreed to hire Richard Naughton as superintendent.

The board met at a special meeting Wednesday when they voted to offer the job to the Garden City Public Schools administrator. He will take the job vacated by Jeffrey Kersh, who is retiring after 18 years as Addison superintendent.

After the first round of interviews June 8-9, the board had narrowed the list to Mr. Naughton, who accepted the job after the board's vote. Details of the contract were unavailable.
