Custer elementaries’ schedules to vary

Custer 1 and 2 elementary schools will have different start and finish times in the coming school year. The school day at Custer 1 will begin at 8:56 a.m., eight minutes later than last year, and finish at 3:46 p.m. At Custer 2, the respective times are 8:51 a.m. and 3:41 p.m.

Principal Jennifer Bennett said the time shifts will help improve bus transportation at both of her schools. “Last year, there were some times when our students experienced delays in getting into the bus after school because the bus had trouble getting here after a prior run, and we want to eliminate those delays in whatever ways we can,” she said.

Lunch times at the two-building campus will be the same.
