Adrian schools board seeks board applicants
12/26/2017ADRIAN — Adrian Schools is seeking applicants for an open seat on its board of education after trustee Terry Sheehan announced he’ll step down at the end of the month after 11 years on the board.
Applications must be submitted by 2 p.m. Jan. 4, and interviews will be held Jan. 10 and Jan. 11, starting at 6 p.m., if needed.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and registered to vote in the Adrian school district. Trustees are unpaid and attend two board meetings per month.
The new trustee will be sworn in at the Jan. 22 regular board meeting and will serve a partial term through Dec. 31, 2018. The appointee may also run in the Nov. 6, 2018, general election to stay on the board for the vacancy term’s remaining two years.
