A house fire closed North Detroit Avenue between West Central Avenue and Arcadia Avenue in central Toledo late today, authorities said.

There were no reports of injuries, according to the Toledo Fire Department.

A fire at a single-family house at 3148 N. Detroit Ave. was reported about 9:45 p.m. Fire crews arrived, saw flames coming from the attic, and fought the fire from the outside, without entering the house.

They brought the fire under control about 11:20 p.m., at which time the street block remained closed.

It was unknown whether anyone was at the house at the time the fire started. The cause of the fire was unknown.

What remained of the house was scheduled for demolition.

The Lucas County Auditor's official Web site lists Cheryl Robinson as the owner of the 1 1/2-story wood frame house. It was built in 1907.
