2 decomposed bodies found in Erie County
5/18/2014HURON, Ohio — Two decomposed bodies were discovered Saturday after a letter carrier reported that mail was piling up at a townhouse, Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth said.
The Lucas County Coroner is to perform the autopsies.
“The bodies were very badly decomposed, so positive identification will have to be made during autopsy,” Sheriff Sigsworth said, adding, “We believe these bodies may be the residents.”
The letter carrier called authorities about 4:30 p.m. The bodies were found inside a townhouse in the Beachwood Villas development east of Huron, about 65 miles southeast of Toledo. There was no sign of forced entry.
