TEMPERANCE -- Authorities have questioned and intend to bring charges against three people in connection the obscene image etched into the Bedford Community Stadium’s football field with grass killer.

On Tuesday, authorities obtained information about those responsible to the damage -- 100-yard-long image of male genitalia in the grass -- which will require about a third of the field to be replaced. That led to the questioning of a 50-year-old woman, her daughter, age 16, and a male, age 17, all of Bedford Township.

“Through statements, it was discovered this was intended to mimic a similar act found on the internet,” Monroe County sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Jeff Paul said in a statement.

Deputies will seek criminal charges against the woman and two juveniles for the damage. The woman could be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Sergeant Paul said.

Authorities asked anyone with further information to call Deputy Jeremy Lestock, the Bedford school district’s resource officer, or the Monroe County sheriff’s detective bureau, 734-240-7530.
