Defiance County cocaine investigation leads to large seizure

DEFIANCE – An 11-month drug investigation netted hundreds of grams of cocaine and the arrest of three Defiance men.

The Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force announced the arrests of Juan Montez, Jr., 22, Valentino Urbina, 33, and Theodore Berner, 51, all on cocaine possession charges. A fourth defendant, Rodolfo Garay, 35, of Dallas, Texas, is charged with the offense as well.

Defiance County officials said Friday Mr. Urbina possessed about 506 grams of cocaine, Mr. Burner 84 grams, and Mr. Montez 56 grams. They further said Mr. Garay delivered 896 grams of the drug to a county residence.

The investigation continues and authorities expect additional charges.
