Four injured in Fremont crash

FREMONT — One person remained in critical condition and three others were injured Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 20 at State Rte. 600 near Fremont, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. 

A vehicle driven by Darryl Finney, 66, of Bellevue, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 20 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Another vehicle, driven by Trey A. Wiseman, 33, of Green Springs, Ohio was traveling northbound on Route 600, according to the patrol. 

Mr. Wiseman failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into Mr. Finney’s path, troopers said. 

Two passengers in Mr. Wiseman’s vehicle were injured in the collision: Robert Heminger, 26, of Gibsonburg, who was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo for critical injuries, and Michael McVicker, 33, of Fremont, who was transported to Fremont ProMedica hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the patrol. 

Both Mr. Wiseman and Mr. Finney were taken to Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, where troopers described their conditions as stable.

Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
