Shooting reported at Defiance County home
12/12/2017EVANSPORT, Ohio – A man was shot Monday at a residence in Defiance County.
Deputies responded about 5:09 p.m. to a shooting in the 24200 block of Nagel Road, about 10 miles north of Defiance. They found victim Mitchell Osting, 52, with a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff's office.
Mr. Osting was taken to a Toledo hospital. Officials did not identify the hospital or his condition.
Law enforcement arrested Linda Brandeberry-Osting, 52, of rural Defiance on a charge of felonious assault. She was taken to Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker. Ms. Brandeberry-Osting will be arraigned Wednesday in Defiance Municipal Court.
