SANDUSKY — Erie County sheriff's investigators are looking for the gunman who fired several shots this weekend at Kalahari Resorts water park.

Deputies heard five to six shots about 1:14 a.m. Sunday following a large disturbance at Nyumba Suites, Detective Robert Rieger said.

Security initially tried evicting suite members for complaints of loud music and drug use. A fight started, and about 60 people left the area once deputies arrived, Detective Rieger said.

Deputies cleared the suite for a reported assault. Someone then repeatedly fired a gun, he said.

Two people were arrested with a firearm during a traffic stop in Perkins Township. They attended the party, but there is no evidence either man was the shooter, he said.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call detectives at 419-627-7553. They may remain anonymous.
