State awards drug-prevention grants to several local police departments

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office announced Wednesday it has awarded more than $3 million to 152 sheriff’s offices and police departments for drug-prevention education.

Local recipients include the Perrysburg, Maumee, Oregon, Sylvania, Sylvania Township, Ottawa Hills, Wauseon, Bowling Green, and Delta police departments and the sheriff’s offices in Lucas, Wood, Sandusky, Fulton, and Williams counties.

The grants range from about $2,200 to $57,700.
