Missing Ypsilanti man believed killed in Toledo

Toledo authorities have filed murder charges against Robert D. Strauss and Desirae Strauss for the death of Brian Martin, 52, from Ypsilanti, who was reported missing to the Ypsilanti and Toledo Police Departments on June 28.

The Strausses, who are husband and wife, are currently being held in the Madison County Sheriff‘‍s Office in Anderson, Ind., on unrelated charges.

Toledo police report that evidence found indicates Mr. Martin was killed in Toledo. They believe his body, which has not yet been recovered, is somewhere between Toledo and Anderson.

Mr. Martin was last seen coaching a softball game in Holland on June 22. His phone and text records indicate he planned to be in Toledo at 4:30 p.m. on June 22, but he never arrived, according to Ypsilanti police.
