ChristCare Group informational potluck, 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Zoar Lutheran Church, 315 E. Indiana, Perrysburg. This will be a time to hear more about ChristCare  groups, ask questions, and sample the experience. People are asked to bring a dish to share or drop a few dollars in the basket.

Holy Assumption Orthodox Church will begin Great Lent, 6 p.m. Monday, 110 E. Main St. Marblehead, Ohio. The first part of the Great Canon of St. Andrew, bishop of Crete. The lengthy canon, an ancient liturgical hymn that was composed in the 7th century, continues to be chanted at three more services, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Devine Liturgy of presanctified gifts will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 23, which will be followed by a Lenten meal. Easter in the Orthodox Church is April 8.

Lutheran Chapel of the Air, 11 a.m. Sunday, WCWA-AM 1230. Pastor Alois Schmitzer of Trinity Lutheran, Jenera, Ohio, on “Our Divine King Reigns Over His Kingdom.”

Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center, noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, 1250 Tiffin St., Fremont, Lunch and Learn, Wrestling with the Noonday Devil presented by Sister Pat Schnapp in this Lunch and Learn. Sister Pat will combine her wisdom and humor to help participants reconcile their flawed selves with the persons they strive to be. Cost: $15. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church will start the prepastoral celebration, 4 p.m. Feb. 25, 702 Collingwood Blvd. The service will be be with the Bishop Duane C. Tisdale and Friendship Baptist Church. On March 11, 18, and 25 Calvary will celebrate Pastor Floyd Smith, Jr. At 4 p.m. March 11,  Pastor Melvin Barnes and Greater Faith Fellowship Church; 4 p.m. March 18, Pastor Roger Carson and Southern Missionary Baptist Church, and 4 p.m. March 25, Pastor James Willis, Sr., with St. Paul Missionary Baptist church. All services will take place at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

A Prelude to St. Patrick’s Day, presented by the St. Anthony Father John A.
