COLUMBUS — Two Toledo attorneys will head the Ohio Supreme Court’s Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law.

Renisa Dorner, a partner at Spengler Nathanson and the board’s former vice chairman, became the first woman elected as board chairman. Ted Mohler, an attorney with Nationwide Insurance, will serve as the new vice chairman.

The 13 members of the board are appointed to three-year terms by the high court. They hold hearings and make recommendations to the court regarding allegations of unauthorized practice of law.

The board may also issue informal, non-binding advisory opinions on related matters.
