When a blood pressure cuff squeezes your arm, you can feel the force of your blood pushing inside. Now imagine that pressure staying high all day, every day. Over time, the constant strain slowly damages your blood vessels and quietly affects most of your organs, such as your brain, eyes, kidneys, or heart.
