Mary Ann is the peregrine falcon female that was found injured in January on the UT campus grounds, but she couldn't be released because her broken wing didn't heal well enough. Nah, couldn’t be ... already? Pretty sure it was a tick, but it blew off out the window. I encountered an American dog tick during a stop in Iowa last year. These arachnids also can cause illnesses such as Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and tularemia, or rabbit fever. Deer browse among the fallen leaves on Oct. 31, 2023. Under the proposal, ruffed grouse hunting would be closed or suspended on all but four designated public areas.
