Stewart-Haas Racing announced today that Tony Stewart is out for the remainder of the NASCAR Sprint Cup 2013 schedule and that Mark Martin will drive in place of Stewart in the No. 14 Chevrolet for 12 of the final 13 races.

Martin, a veteran driver, led the final laps of Sunday's Pure Michigan 400 until his car ran out of fuel, allowing Joey Logano to win. Martin finished 27th in the race and will drive in this weekend's Sprint Cup race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

Austin Dillon, who drove Sunday in the Pure Michigan 400, will drive for Stewart in October at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Stewart has undergone two surgeries after he broke his leg in a sprint car accident earlier this month in Iowa.
