The Toledo area's LPGA tournament has a new name and a new logo to go with it.

The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic will not have a title sponsor, but will have three presenting sponsors -- Kroger, Owens Corning, and O-I -- and all are represented on the logo, designed by Toledo-based marketing firm Communica.

"The new logo reflects the great support of not only the three presenting sponsors but of all the sponsors, volunteers, and fans that together make the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic such a tremendous community event," said tournament director Judd Silverman.

The tournament was most recently known as the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic, presented by Kroger. It was not staged this past summer because Toledo was the host city for the U.S. Senior Open.

The Farr Classic returns to Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania on Aug. 6-12, 2012 with a purse of $1.3 million.

Discounted advance sales of weekly grounds passes are available for holiday purchases at area Kroger stores for $50. Buyers can designate a charity to benefit from individual ticket sales through The Blade's charity ticket program.
