Crawford, Calhoun get 21 each but not enough as BG loses in close game at Miami

OXFORD, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team lost 63-60 to Miami University on Wednesday.

Jordon Crawford and A’uston Calhoun each scored 21 point for the Falcons, who fell to 6-10 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.

Will Felder finished with 20 points for the RedHawks (7-8, 2-1), who also got 14 off the bench from Drew McGhee and 13 from Allen Roberts.

Bowling Green used a 9-0 run midway through the first half to build a 26-16 lead, and the Falcons held a 34-30 halftime advantage.

BG led by as many as seven early in the second half before the RedHawks eventually tied the game at 55 with 5 minutes, 23 seconds to play.

A Calhoun free throw made it 58-57 BG with 3:18 left, and after each team scored once more, Felder’s jumper with gave Miami the lead for good.

Crawford missed a 3, then turned the ball over twice as Quinten Rollins connected on a shot with 19 seconds to play before Crawford missed a tough 3-point shot at the buzzer.

BG plays at 7 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo.
