On the most topsy-turvy day of the season — eight ranked teams lost, including three in the top 10 — Ohio State and Michigan took care of business against underdog opponents. The latest rankings reflect the shakeup.

The Buckeyes remained No. 3, with one first-place vote, while the Wolverines were one of the biggest recipients of the turmoil, rising from 15th to 12th. It’s the highest Michigan’s been ranked all season. UM hosts No. 15 Wisconsin on Saturday in one of the biggest games of the week.

The top four of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson was unchanged. Occupying the No. 5 spot, which was vacated by LSU, is undefeated Notre Dame.

Cincinnati, one of 11 remaining unbeaten teams, is ranked No. 25.
