Girls basketball: Rogers, Whitmer notch wins

ROGERS 61, HATHAWAY BROWN 53

The Rams’ girls basketball team improved to 3-0 with a home win Saturday night. Madison Royal-Davis scored 16, Tanaziah Hines 14 and Myia McLeod 10.

For the Blazers, Bridget Carman had 24, Ava Warcaba 14 and Hanna Harlor 12.

Abby Hickey scored 11 points, and both Mariah Hopings and Maddie Brown added 10 as the Panthers (2-0) won on the road.

Alasia Easley led the Spartans (1-2) with nine points.

LIMA SENIOR 56, SCOTT 36

Olivia Oshodin had a game-high 17 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Bulldogs from dropping to 0-4 on the season.

Ryann Miller led the host Spartans with 10 points.

LIBERTY CENTER 43, NORTH CENTRAL 19

LIBERTY CENTER — The host Tigers used a 10-2 second-quarter run to help fuel a nonleague win against the Eagles.

Olivia Leatherman and Sydni Altman each scored nine points to lead Liberty Center (3-0).

Sidney McKarns had eight points to pace North Central (1-2).

BRYAN 59, EDON 20

BRYAN — Kelly Miller scored all 15 of her points on 3-pointers and Allye Minor added 12 points for the Golden Bears (1-1). Edon dropped to 1-3.
